Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Welcome to Alloy & Earth. These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of our website, alloyandearth.com.au, and to purchases made through our online store.

By accessing or purchasing from our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Alloy & Earth

Alloy & Earth is an Australian jewellery business selling jewellery and related products through our online store.

Our jewellery is made from stainless steel and plated with 18K gold, unless otherwise stated on an individual product page.

For questions about an order, product or these Terms & Conditions, please contact us through the contact details provided on our website.

2. Our Jewellery

Alloy & Earth jewellery is 18K gold-plated stainless steel. It is not solid 18K gold.

Our products are designed to be durable and suitable for everyday wear. Where a product is described as non-tarnish or waterproof, these descriptions refer to the intended performance of the product under normal conditions.

However, exposure to chemicals, perfumes, cosmetics, cleaning products, chlorine, salt water, excessive friction, or other substances may affect the appearance or finish of jewellery over time.

We recommend following our jewellery care instructions to help maintain the appearance and finish of your jewellery.

3. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, colours, sizes and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your device or screen settings.

If we discover that a product description or price contains an error, we may contact you before fulfilling the order.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

4. Prices and Payment

All prices displayed on our website are in Australian dollars (AUD), unless otherwise stated.

We accept the payment methods made available at checkout.

Payment must be successfully received before an order is processed and dispatched.

Alloy & Earth reserves the right to correct pricing or product information errors. If an error has resulted in an incorrect price being displayed and you have placed an order, we will contact you and provide you with the option to confirm the order at the correct price or receive a refund.

5. Orders

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products selected.

An order confirmation email does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order in reasonable circumstances, including where a product is unavailable, or there has been an obvious pricing or listing error.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will provide a refund of the amount paid for the cancelled order.

6. Shipping

We will provide shipping information and estimated delivery timeframes on our website or at checkout.

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may be affected by postal services, couriers, public holidays, weather, incorrect delivery information or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information when placing an order.

If you believe your order has been lost, damaged or significantly delayed, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can assist you.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. 15-Day Change-of-Mind Returns

We offer a 15-day return period for eligible change-of-mind purchases.

To be eligible for a change-of-mind return:

Customers are responsible for return postage costs for change-of-mind returns unless otherwise stated by Alloy & Earth.

Once the returned item has been received and inspected, we will process the applicable refund in accordance with our returns process.

We reserve the right to decline a change-of-mind return where the product does not meet the above eligibility requirements.

This change-of-mind policy does not limit or exclude your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged on arrival, significantly different from its description, or otherwise does not meet the guarantees required under Australian Consumer Law, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please provide your order number and, where appropriate, photographs or other information that may help us assess the issue.

Depending on the circumstances and your rights under Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy.

Our assessment and any remedy will be handled in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law, or any other applicable law.

Where Australian Consumer Law applies, those rights operate independently of our voluntary 15-day change-of-mind return policy.

Our policies and Terms & Conditions should not be interpreted as removing any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Jewellery Care

To maintain the appearance of your jewellery, we recommend:

Although our jewellery is designed to be waterproof and non-tarnish, normal wear and exposure to chemicals, abrasion and environmental conditions can affect the appearance of jewellery and its plating over time.

11. Intellectual Property

You may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute or commercially use our content without our prior written permission.

13. Website Availability

We aim to keep our website available and functioning properly. However, we do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

We may temporarily suspend or modify the website for maintenance, updates or other operational reasons.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Alloy & Earth is not responsible for loss or damage caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified under Australian law.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The latest version will be published on our website. Changes will apply from the date they are published and will not affect rights that have already accrued under an existing purchase or applicable law.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia and, where applicable, the laws of the state or territory in which Alloy & Earth operates.

Any dispute will be subject to the applicable courts and laws of Australia.
